MY SPECIALTIES

BALANCE ISSUES, DIZZINESS

Dizziness refers to a range of sensations including feeling lightheaded, faint, unsteady, or off-balance, often caused by issues related to the inner ear, and can manifest as a spinning sensation called "vertigo" where either the environment or the person feels like they are moving around them.

EAR INFECTIONS

Otitis media is an infection of the middle ear. It causes inflammation and a build-up of fluid behind the eardrum. Anyone can develop a middle ear infection, but they’re most common in young children.

DROOLING

Drooling is characterized by saliva flowing out of your mouth unintentionally. This could be happening because you have excess saliva, or it could be due to underdeveloped muscles around your mouth. Sometimes, drooling is caused by neurological disorders or other health conditions.

EAR PAIN

Earaches can be due to a problem with the ear or structures close to the ear. The pain may be dull, sharp, or burning and can occur in one or both ears. It may be constant or come and go.

EUSTACHIAN TUBE DYSFUNCTION

The prolonged failure to equalise pressure in the middle ear. This inadequate ventilation of the chamber behind the eardrum can be the result of sinus, throat, nose and ear conditions, including common colds and allergies.

GLUE EAR

Glue ear is where the middle part of the ear canal fills up with fluid. This can cause temporary hearing loss.

HOARSE VOICE

Hoarseness occurs when the vibration of the vocal cords is disrupted. Most commonly, this is because of an abnormality within the voice box (larynx) itself but there can be other causes as well.

NASAL BLOCKAGE SURGERY

Nasal obstruction can be caused by many different conditions, ranging from allergies to structural problems within the nose, such as a deviated nasal septum or nasal polyps, as well as infections due to sinusitis and problems occurring after trauma.

PERFORATED EARDRUMS

A perforated (burst) eardrum is a hole or tear in your eardrum. Symptoms of a perforated eardrum usually start suddenly after an ear infection, injury, loud noise or sudden change in air pressure.

PROMINENT EARS

Protruding ears in children can often lead to a child being teased at school. It is due to a defect in part of the cartilage (gristle) of the ear, and one or both ears can be affected.

HEARING LOSS

Hearing loss is a common problem that often develops with age or is caused by repeated exposure to loud noises. Hearing loss can occur suddenly, but usually develops gradually.

TONSILLECTOMY

Tonsils are small glands in the throat, one on each side. They are there to fight germs when you are a young child. Tonsillectomy is the surgical removal of your tonsils. It’s done to treat sleep-related breathing issues or frequent infections.

TINNITUS - NOISE IN EARS

Tinnitus is a sensation or awareness of sound that is not caused by a real external sound source. It can be perceived in one or both ears, inside the head or in the person's immediate environment.

TONGUE TIE

Tongue-tie is where the piece of skin connecting the tongue to the bottom of the mouth is shorter or tighter than usual. It's most common in babies.
